Smart Data Extractor: web tables to Excel

Turn loaded webpage tables and repeating lists into spreadsheet data. Smart Data Extractor opens beside the current page in Chrome so you can review rows and adjust fields before downloading a file.

Extract tables and repeating lists

Choose an export format

Use Excel for a workbook you can edit directly, CSV for a plain table you can import into spreadsheet tools, or JSON for structured data in a script. Missing fields stay empty rather than shifting values into another column.

How to get started

  1. Install the extension and open an ordinary webpage with a table or repeated list.
  2. Click the extension toolbar icon to grant temporary access and open the side panel.
  3. Choose a suggested area, or select an area on the page.
  4. Review rows and columns, then export your chosen format.

Supported scope and limits

Each extraction includes up to 100 data rows and 40 fields. Only already-loaded main-document content is read. There is no automatic pagination, scrolling, detail-page crawling, iframe or website Shadow DOM extraction. Virtualized lists include only records currently present in the page DOM.

Chrome 116 or later is required. Some page structures need manual adjustment. Download results you want to keep: session results are not guaranteed to survive a browser restart or extension reload.

Privacy

No account or payment is required. Extraction and export processing take place locally in your browser, with no automatic upload of extracted data. Optional local usage counts are off by default. Read the Smart Data Extractor privacy policy.
